What is Slice Token?

Slice Token is a platform in which fans can invest in golf and tennis players, in exchange for part of their future prize money earnings (dividends) + being part of the player’s community.

What does being part of the player’s community mean?

It means users who buy a player’s tokens are eligible for any other perks the players choose to give to their community. This is entirely up to each player and buying a token does not oblige the player to give anything to their community. To access these perks, users need to join our Discord community to validate their tokens and enjoy the benefits.

How does it work?

Each player issues its own 20,000 ERC-1155 tokens.

Fans/investors can buy these tokens (when available) and the collected funds go to the player. The junior players must use these funds only for their career expenses. Fans/investors who buy these tokens, will receive in return a percentage of the prize money earned by the player (dividends).

Slice Token is responsible for collecting the prize money from the players after every tournament, the distribution of the prize money earned between all the token holders (through a smart contract), and the proper audit of the players expenses.

In order to claim the player’s tokens and prize money dividends, users must register on our platform.

Fans/investors can also freely sell their purchased tokens through our platform (coming soon). By selling your tokens, you are also selling the rights to the royalties those tokens produce.

How often does the distribution take place?

Slice Token will collect weekly prize money from each player and distribute the dividends to the token holder's Slice Token wallet.

How do I claim my dividends?

Users who have completed their identity verification (KYC) and have accumulated a minimum of USD 50 can access the Dashboard and claim their dividends.

How much of the revenue is shared by the player?

Tennis:
The player will share 30% of all the gross prize money received for competing at any event and/or any competition mode. This percentage will be distributed evenly between the 20,000 issued tokens.

As an example, if a players makes $1.000.000.- in gross Prize Money earnings in any given year, each token holder will receive $15 for each token they have.

The prize money distribution of 30% will remain until the player reaches ATP/WTA top 100 in their main activity (singles/doubles) while on this contract.

Once the player reaches this point, they will share 30% for another 2 (two) calendar years. At that point, the revenue shared will drop 5% every three years until it reaches a minimum of 10% until the end of the player’s career.

Golf:
The player will share 30% of all the gross prize money received for competing at any event and/or any competition mode. This percentage will be distributed evenly between the 20,000 issued tokens.

As an example, if a players makes $1,000,000.- in gross Prize Money earnings in any given year, each token holder will receive $15 for each token they have.

The prize money distribution of 30% will remain until the player gets the PGA Tour Card, or LPGA Tour Card for female players while on this contract.

Once the player reaches this point, they will share 30% for another 3 (three) calendar years. At that point, the revenue shared will drop 5% every two years until it reaches a minimum of 10% until the end of the player’s career.

How can I purchase a token?

For purchasing a token, first you need to buy USDC to fund your Slice Token wallet. Once you have sufficient USDC (Polygon network) in your Slice Token wallet, you can buy the tokens from the players.

You can buy USDC using crypto balance transferred from any exchange or by other payment methods such as debit or credit card as shown in the checkout process. If you should need further assistance or want to find out other ways to fund your wallet , feel free to contact us.

How can I pay with my crypto balance?

Slice Token will create a wallet for you upon registration. If you want to buy any token using this balance, you need to fund the Slice Token wallet we’ve created for you with sufficient USDC.

Please be sure to always use the Polygon Network.

How do I fund my wallet?

Accepted Answer

By adding USDC funds (Polygon network) from any wallet or exchange (Metamask, Binance, Ripio, Lemon, etc), or by using any other payment method as shown in the check-out process.

How can I sell my tokens?

Accepted Answer

You can sell our tokens through our platform at the price you think is right. If the player’s future prize money earning expectation has increased from the moment you bought the token, you should be able to make a profit from it (coming soon).

What happens if I buy any token on a secondary market?

Accepted Answer

Users can freely buy/sell tokens anytime, but in order to be able to claim the dividends and be part of the player’s community, users must be registered on the Slice Token platform and complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) form.

You can access the player’s official profile through our website. Also, we encourage you to follow us on our social platforms, where we regularly post different news, updates, and content from all our players.

Why buy a token from a junior player from an investor’s perspective?

Accepted Answer

Junior Prize Money earnings are zero to low. That’s why their tokens are in the low range of token price. Investors who buy tokens from junior players should expect the price of their tokens to increase significantly if the player succeeds in his/her career.

We encourage investors to diversify their portfolio by buying tokens from many junior players to lower their risk.
